Server Requirements
Mentor requires the following hardware and software configurations for the application server.

Hardware Configuration
Processor:

• Single CPU: 1.5 GHz or Greater
• Dual CPU: 750 MHz or Greater

Memory:

• 512 MB (768 MB - 1 GB recommended)

Disk Space:

• 200 MB

Software Configuration
Operating system:

• Microsoft Windows XP Professional
• Microsoft Windows 2003 Server

Database:

• Oracle 9i
• SQL Server 2000

Certified J2EE-compliant application server:

• JBoss 4.0 (included in installation)

Java Virtual Machine:

• Sun Java Development Kit 1.5.x

Web Browser (optional):

• Microsoft Internet Explorer v5.5 or higher

The Mentor 2.4 installation program will install the JBoss J2EE application server. It will also install the Sun Java Development Kit 1.5.0_02 within the Mentor 2.4 installation directory, for use by Mentor.

Client Requirements
Hardware

• 64 Megabytes of RAM (128 recommended)
• 16-bit (or higher) VGA monitor set to 800x600 pixels (1024x768 recommended)

Operating System

• Any operating system compatible with a supported web browser that also supports the Sun Java Plug-in, version 1.3

Software

• Web browser (Internet Explorer version 6.0 or higher)
• Sun Java Plug-in version 1.3
• Sun Java Media Framework (JMF) version 2.1.1a or higher
