Java Software Developer

We are looking to expand our technical staff with Java Developers who will build software applications for use in advanced systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform modular subsystem decomposition and component-based software design.
• Perform object-oriented analysis and design using software engineering practices and current modeling tools such as UML.
• Implement distributed, enterprise software applications in Java using commercial and open source application frameworks.
• Develop test cases and perform unit testing on Java software components.
• Draft technical documentation for developed components.
• Perform integration testing of enterprise applications and ensure the functionality of software releases.
• Help develop and refine standards for software lifecycle management, including design, development, documentation and bug tracking.

Requirements:

• BS in computer science and minimum 3 years’ work experience in Java.
• Object-oriented design and programming skills.
• Strong experience with Java programming language.
• Experience with Windows and Unix development environments.
• Experience with SQL and data access using relational DBMS.
• Experience with Java application frameworks, JDBC and Java Servlets.
• Experience with XML highly desired.
• Experience with JavaScript a plus.
• Sun Java Programmer Certification a plus.
• Strong communication skills.
